Facility Designers/Planners should consider using this technology wherever wiring is required for data communications, but adding conduit and/or wire is cost prohibitive or othereise not desired. Since power is required for both the access control keypads or Security Alarm devices as well as the RS485 Wireless transceiver, the destination point for the wireless "wire" must have A/C available. In most applications where multiple remote points (locations on the property) are required, Global supplies a special Omni-directional Antenna and two or more Yagi Antennas. In this way, the head end, where theController is located, uses the Omni-directional antenna, while the remotes each use a Yagi Antenna.
