Perimeter Alarm Shunting

There are many possilbe configurations/uses of a Relay Controller with regard to Perimeter Alarm Shunting.  For one example, in one typical use, a PIN is entered at the One or more Entry keypads.  If the PIN is accepted (valid PIN, Tenant NOT locked out, Within Approved Hours, using an approved Entry Point/Location),  THe Axcys System will typcially perform these actions:

1. Send a signal to open the Entry Point
2. Within Axcys, mark this Tenant as "On-Site"
3. Fire one or more relays, depending on programming, which are connected by wire to an alarm panel. This action makes the alarm panel "think" that the beam or other contact is intact - even when a human or vehicle breaks the beam.  Thus allowing a valid user to enter the property and access it as appropriate.

Caveats and Considerations:

1.  The shunt is applied or removed immediately.
2. The Axcys System reviews instances of On-Site once a minute.  If an instance is equal to (=) or greater than (>) the allowed On-Site amount of time (expressed in hours), that instance is removed automatically.  **Note** If individual unit alarms existed, the unit alarm would be enabled.
3. If the Axcys System is set for a maximum allowable 'On-Site' time, once this expires, the shunt is removed (alarm becomes active).  Tenants that remain physically On-Site can exit the property (if ant-passback is NOT turned on) but the perimeter alarms will likely go off.
