Suggested Order Of Operations

No Installation is identical to any other. However there are comonalities between them. For this reason, Global suggests that in a retro-fit environment where devices are being added to an existing, operating facility, we suggests the following:

1.  Locate what you *think* is the best place for the Head End Antenna. Mount it temporarily with best means.
2.  With the Software running, the Central Antenna positioned temporarily mount or hold by hand, one of the remote antennas.  Verify that the keypad connected to the remote antenna communicate with the Head End.  This would be indicated using the DiagnostyX software. Once you have this working, proceed.
3. For each other, new remotes, perform step 2 again. You may have to reposition step1, and step 2, as you add more remotes.

Overall, this sounds very hard.  However the actual install normally is much much easier. So long as the remotes have a line of site direct contact, they will normally just work!

Conclusion - for best results, mount the Head End first, followed by each remote.  Adjust each as necessary.
