Wireless Remotes Addressing Protocol

Wireless Remote Addressing

Wireless  Remotes Addressing is the same as Wired Remotes Addressing, but only with regard to the Address of the Remote device itself.  With Wireless Remotes, several other elements make up the 'complete address' of the device.  The combination of these elements allow for a virtually unlimited configuration of wireless devices regardless of their function.

In keeping with the Wired Remote Addressing Protocol, certain address numbers are generally assigned to certain functions (wired or wireless), such as Entry Keypad, Exit Keypad, Wireless Gate Entry Monitor, Wireless Controller (Head End), Wireless Repeater, Wireless Blue Tooth Tracker, Wireless Single Door Contact and Wireless Multiplexed Alarm as examples.

The elements that make up the Address are:
1.  Address
2.  Zone
3.  Device Type
